Janet Mick is the President and Founder of IT Public Relations, affectionately dubbed ITPR. In 1998, this New Yorker left her Wall Street and fashion careers behind and ventured out to create an iconic, global company that would continue to develop successful campaigns with lasting results for clients from Europe to South America and beyond. Today, Janet is still a hands-on leader, inspiring her international, bilingual team and captivating the media’s attention in the digital age by keeping her finger on the pulse and her eye on her client’s goals.
P&G Communications – Partner
Placidi & Gerlich Communications (P&G Communications) was established in 1990 as a public relations and marketing agency specializing in travel and hospitality. We represent a small, select group of unique luxury clients – to whom we devote our full attention. We have intentionally kept P&G a “boutique” agency, i.e. we have stayed small, never representing more than five or six clients at a time in order to provide each of our clients the most-effective, and most personalized, service.
P&G’s founders and principals, Edward Placidi and Marian Gerlich, who boast decades of professional experience in public relations and travel journalism, personally design and oversee all facets of our clients’ public relations and marketing programs. Rather than assigning the client a junior account executive, as is typical in the industry, we work directly with clients day-to-day. Occasionally, we bring on other specialists to handle special needs for our clients, but we directly oversee their participation in the PR effort.
Having represented many highly regarded upscale hotels and resorts in the U.S. and abroad over two decades, P&G has developed a definitive hospitality specialization and is recognized as such in media circles. We are viewed as a resource for the press, who call frequently to discuss trends and story ideas, and find appropriate information for their articles. Likewise, we are able to cross-promote clients, often working several into a single media call – and into the travel, golf, cuisine, spa or other story.
